On 16th September, we reported on this website how a 200-year old pub was on the verge of becoming an Islamic Centre.
Tragically our predictions were correct, and councillors at Basildon council have approved a planning application submitted by South Essex Islamic Trust (SEIT). What was formerly the site of The Barge Inn, on High Road in Vange, will now become a community centre and an Islamic place of worship.
Conservative councillor for Vange, Yetunde Adeshile, confirmed that planning permission had been approved to convert the former pub into a place of worship and a community centre.
She said that the centre has the “potential to bring investment into Vange”.
Councillor Adeshile wrote on Facebook: “At last night’s planning meeting, The South Essex Islamic Trust obtained approval to convert The Barge Pub into a community centre and place of worship (Class F).
Conservative, Labour and Lib Dem councillors are all ready and waiting to serve the growing Islamic community, despite genuine concerns from local residents.
Preventing the gradual Islamisation of our towns and villages is now vital. We’ve already seen the impact it’s had on cities such as London and Birmingham.
In locations like Basildon, and hundreds of other towns the length and breadth of the UK, Patriotic Nationalist councillors are needed now more than ever before. Councillors elected at the local government level would be able to block planning applications such as this to preserve our heritage, culture, statues, monuments, and historic buildings.
By working together within our communities and being organised locally, we can save our unique identity and way of life!
